What Is HGH?

HGH (somatropin) is the complete 191-amino acid growth hormone protein produced by the anterior pituitary gland. It regulates growth, metabolism, body composition, and cellular repair. Levels peak in adolescence and decline progressively with age — a process known as the somatopause — contributing to changes in body composition, energy, and recovery capacity.

How Does HGH Work?

HGH operates through two pathways. The first is direct binding to growth hormone receptors on muscle, fat, bone, and liver tissue. The second is hepatic production of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), which drives the majority of HGH's anabolic effects — including muscle hypertrophy, bone and cartilage growth, and cellular repair.
