What Is CJC-1295 (No DAC)?
CJC-1295 without DAC — also known as Modified GRF(1-29) or Mod GRF — is a short-acting synthetic analogue of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) designed to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce and release natural growth hormone (GH) in controlled, physiological pulses.
Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, this version does not carry the Drug Affinity Complex that binds to albumin. This means it has a much shorter half-life (approximately 30 minutes), producing a sharp, pronounced GH pulse rather than the sustained elevation of its longer-acting counterpart. This short-acting profile actually makes it highly useful for specific applications — particularly when a timed, pulsatile GH release is desired around training or sleep, or when it is stacked with a GHRP like Ipamorelin for synergistic effect.
CJC-1295 No DAC preserves the body's natural pulsatile GH rhythm, avoiding the receptor burnout, abnormal hormone spikes, and suppression of endogenous GH production associated with older or direct GH therapies.
How It Works — Mechanism of Action
1. GHRH Receptor Stimulation
CJC-1295 No DAC binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells, triggering a sharp pulse of natural GH release. Because it clears rapidly, the GH pulse it creates closely mimics the body's own natural episodic secretion pattern.
2. Synergistic with GHRPs (Especially Ipamorelin)
CJC-1295 No DAC is most frequently used in combination with a growth hormone releasing peptide (GHRP) such as Ipamorelin. While CJC-1295 triggers GHRH receptor activation, Ipamorelin simultaneously activates the GHS-R1a receptor — two separate pathways that produce a combined GH pulse significantly larger than either peptide alone. This is the basis of the most widely used GH optimisation stack.
3. GH → IGF-1 Cascade
The GH released stimulates the liver to produce IGF-1, driving the downstream anabolic and metabolic effects: muscle protein synthesis, fat oxidation, tissue repair, collagen production, and cellular regeneration.
4. Preserved Feedback Mechanisms
Because Sermorelin and CJC-1295 act on the pituitary rather than delivering exogenous hormone, somatostatin feedback remains intact — the body's natural brake on GH release is maintained, preventing the runaway GH elevations associated with direct HGH therapy.
Research-Backed Benefits
Adipose Metabolism & Metabolic Support
- Increases basal metabolic rate through GH-driven lipolysis
- Enhances breakdown of stored fat, particularly visceral fat
- Improves body composition during cutting and recomposition phases
Lean Mass & Musculoskeletal Repair Research
- Boosts IGF-1 for enhanced muscle protein synthesis and repair
- Speeds recovery after training through improved collagen and connective tissue regeneration research
- Supports connective tissue regeneration research
- Preserves lean muscle mass during caloric deficits
Sleep Quality & Cognitive Function
- Timed pre-bed dosing amplifies the natural nocturnal GH pulse, improving deep-wave and REM sleep quality
- Supports mental clarity and mood through improved sleep architecture
- Many users report improved daytime energy within the first 2–3 weeks
Cellular Ageing & Lifespan Pathway Research
- Improves skin elasticity and texture through GH/IGF-1-driven collagen stimulation
- Supports mitochondrial health and cellular repair
- Contributes to bone mineral density maintenance
Dosing & Administration
Standard Dose: 100–200 mcg per injection (0.1–0.2 mg) Frequency: Once or twice daily Route: Subcutaneous injection Timing:
- Pre-bed (primary) — to amplify the natural nocturnal GH pulse
- Pre-training — when stacked with Ipamorelin for performance and recovery
When stacking with Ipamorelin: Inject both peptides simultaneously (same or separate injections) for maximum synergistic GH release. The combination is more effective than either peptide alone.
Cycle
- 12 weeks on → 4 weeks off
- Safe to repeat for multiple cycles per year
- Rotate injection sites weekly: abdomen, upper thigh, glute
Reconstitution
- Add bacteriostatic water to lyophilised powder
- Swirl gently — never shake
- Refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 28 days
- Discard if solution is cloudy or contains visible particles
⚠️ Important: Do not inject within 2 hours of a carbohydrate-heavy meal — elevated insulin significantly blunts GH release. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any peptide protocol.

Side Effects & Safety
CJC-1295 No DAC is well tolerated at standard research doses. Its short half-life and preservation of natural feedback mechanisms contribute to a lower side effect burden compared to direct HGH therapy.
Commonly reported (mild and usually transient)
- Injection site redness, minor swelling, or bruising — resolves with consistent site rotation
- Mild headache in the first 1–2 weeks as GH levels adjust
- Mild flushing or warmth after injection
- Mild water retention at higher doses — typically self-resolving
Important safety considerations
- Cancer history — avoid without oncology consultation; GH and IGF-1 elevation may theoretically support tumour vascularisation
- Hypothyroidism — uncontrolled thyroid conditions may blunt response; optimise thyroid status before commencing GH protocols
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding — avoid use
- Insulin interaction — time injections in a fasted state; do not inject alongside insulin or within 2 hours of a large carbohydrate meal
Synergy Stacks
CJC-1295 No DAC + Ipamorelin (Most Popular)
The gold-standard GH optimisation stack. CJC-1295 activates the GHRH receptor; Ipamorelin activates GHS-R1a simultaneously — producing synergistic GH pulses that maximise fat burning, recovery, lean mass, and sleep quality. Best timed together pre-bed or pre-training.
CJC-1295 + Retatrutide
Combines GLP-1/GIP/glucagon triple agonism with GH secretagogue support. A powerful metabolic transformation stack for visceral fat reduction and body recomposition.
CJC-1295 + BPC-157 + TB-500
Adds the strongest healing peptide combination to GH optimisation. Excellent for athletes managing active injuries alongside performance and recovery goals.
CJC-1295 + Epitalon + NAD+
Investigational research protocol combining GH axis optimisation with telomere pathway support and cellular energy restoration.
